The Mandarin Collar is a new addition to the KAIZEN AMSTERDAM range.
The T's graphic represents the clash between traditional culture and modernity in our times of rapid urbanization and migration. The print on the back, Min gong ti xu (民工体恤), translates to Migrant worker t-shirt and represents those who live this clash; those who travel to the bigger cities from smaller villages in order to work and build livelihoods.
KAIZEN AMSTERDAM writes this as a note of solidarity with migrant workers, who live at the forefront of the increasingly fluid modern world.
The Mandarin Collar is made out of the same 100%,280 gram cotton fabric as the Kimono Sweater,
but has a more contemporary long-sleeved shape complete with a traditional Mandarin collar.
